Christine Addy is the current Chair of the GUBA (Ghana UK Based Achievement Awards) Foundation and annual awards ceremony. This position sees Christine head up the 15 strong team alongside the Vice Chairman to steer GUBA projects to success by implementing all vital elements of the awards. This role is shared with her full time job in Housing and other rising ventures including The ARC UK Event Management Service. In 2013 Christine completed her postgraduate degree in events management and also holds a degree in Community Development and Criminology.
Rachael Palmer has a background in community participation, development and youth work and is the founder of African Ladies Day at Royal Ascot as well as the inspiration behind TBM. She has just launched her own business consultancy – Black Maven. “I am not just passionate about business, but also the life and stories of the people behind the business! Seeing businesses succeed along with the lives of those involved is a big motivation for me.”
Ariatu PR Founder, Ronke Lawal, was born in Hackney, East London. Having graduated with honours from Lancaster University and the University of Richmond Virginia (USA) with a degree in International Business
(Economics), she started her own PR and Communications business in 2004. Ariatu PR specialises in PR and Communications for clients in a range of B2C industries; including lifestyle and luxury FMCG, travel, food and
the creative sector.
She is a passionate advocate for enterprise and equality and equity through diverse and inclusive leadership. She is regularly invited to facilitate training in personal branding, PR strategy and media training as well as an active public speaker. She is also a regular guest contributor and co-host on Talk Radio offering her insightson pop culture, current affairs, business and more.
Her varied passions outside the business world include food (Founder of Food Blog www.whosfordinner.co.uk), travel, music, literature and most importantly living a life she loves.

Paula Perry is known as the ‘Cycle Breaking Expert’ she is a mother, mentor, lecturer, author and founder of You4Us which is dedicated to empowering women to take control of their finances. Alongside starting the domino effect that breaks the negative cycle of generational poverty in areas such as Education & Parenting.
Paula raises awareness about financial literacy and the importance of understanding our financial mindset and has been successfully impacting adults and young people in the UK and internationally with knowledge and practical tools to create a solid foundation that is important to create a legacy for the next generation.
Through her own experiences and circumstances Paula communicates that everyone can achieve their hearts desires by adopting the right mindset. She delivers financial health awareness seminars and workshops for self-empowerment focusing on issues that are close to her heart such as increasing life aspirations, confidence and self-belief in young people where the environment does not allow for these characteristics to be normal.
Paula is also the Co- author of the best seller Black British History (Black Influences on British Culture 1948 – 2016) she teaches Black History to key stage 3 children and black studies to adults.
